UGADEN activities are implemented under five programs areas:

Our Projects

          Enhancing the capacity of communities to promote viable forest-based enterprises for  
      improved livelihoods in selected districts of Uganda (2009/10) supported by FAO under the
      NFP Facility.

          Use and conservation of indigenous fruit tree diversity for improved livelihoods in Eastern
       Africa (2006/08) a collaborative project involving Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, supported
       by African Forest Research Network (AFORNET)

          Developing natural resources manual for service providers in Uganda to facilitate
       integration of agroforestry into National Agricultural Advisory Services (2006/07) supported
       by FAO under the NFP Facility.

          Strengthening the capacity of the trained Agroforestry service providers (2005) supported
       by FAO NFP Facility

          Capacity building for UGADEN member organizations in Eastern Uganda (2006) supported
       Trees on Farm Network (TOFNET) of ASARECA

          3rd National Agroforestry Workshop (2005) with support from ICRAF, EU, TOFNET and local
       partners.

          Dissemination and scaling-up of demand-driven agroforestry technologies and innovations 
      in the East and Central Africa region (2004-2006) supported by EU through TOFNET

          Building the capacity of UGADEN for Agroforestry information dissemination (Establish an
      Agroforestry Information Resource Centre) [2004/05] supported by the Belgian Technical
      Cooperation (BTC)
         Capacity building of agroforestry service providers in five pilot districts with FAO support
      (2004).
