Our Vision
“Uganda’s farming communities access and apply sound agroforestry technologies for improved livelihoods”
The vision aspires to have participating communities to practically and consistently put to use agroforestry technologies and innovations. And whatever the technologies and innovations, they must be appropriate, profitable and environmentally friendly.
Our Mission
To coordinate and strengthen efforts of various stakeholders in development, dissemination and application of agroforestry technologies in all the agro-ecological zones of Uganda.
UGADEN is a facilitating organization that presents the collective voice of various stakeholders and offers a framework for realization of the aspirations in the agroforestry sub-sector.
Our Key Roles
1) Provide linkage between the various agroforestry initiatives in Uganda
2) Support sustainable supply of quality tree planting material
3) Support training and education in agroforestry
4) Documentation and dissemination of agroforestry information
5) Assess and share relevant development approaches for agroforestry
6) Monitoring, Evaluation and Impact Assessment
7) Research support for agroforestry development
8) Advocacy and lobbing on agroforestry issues
